Dilara is a Turkish jewelry designer and founder of her namesake brand, which she launched in 2014. Born in Istanbul, raised in Berlin, and now based in San Francisco, she draws deeply on the cities she has called home. The ornate architecture of Istanbul, the restrained modernism of Berlin, and the effortless sophistication of San Francisco all find their way into her collections through clean lines, intentional details, and subtly symbolic motifs.
Growing up in a family of artists profoundly shaped her sensibilities. Her father, Ismet Nedim, is a celebrated Turkish classical music composer, and her sister is a performing artist in Turkey. From an early age, Dilara was surrounded by rhythm, composition, and stagecraft, and these influences taught her to appreciate harmony, balance, and storytelling—qualities she now expresses through jewelry.
